john fowkes Architects was established in 2010 in the Vale of Belvoir village of Long Clawson, in Leicestershire. The practice has gained a reputation for combining stylish design work with an excellent high quality and discreet service.
John has thirty years experience as an architect in private practice working on complex award winning projects. These include projects at St Paul’s Church for the Diocese of London, the Tower of London and East Sussex National.  John has also designed a number of contemporary new build houses along with restoration projects at historic and Listed country houses.

The Holy Cross Convent project has been published in Pevsner's Guide to the Buildings of Nottinghamshire in 2020, see Costock village, Highfields.

After spending 10 years in Long Clawson and Buckminster, in 2020 the practice relocated to Southwell, near Newark.
